Ute Gubensäk
It has always been important to me to work in an area that I find meaningful and valuable – human rights and their enforcement is one such area. I have now been part of Sarah’s team since May 2022.
Particularly the legal fields of asylum and alien law require a mindful and empathetic approach to our clients. This is where I can resort to my several years of experience in the social sector.
General organizational tasks as well as communication and correspondence with our clients, the authorities and the courts are part of my responsibilities. I am happy to be your first contact person in the law firm!
Thomas Becker
I studied law at the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz and also completed my doctoral studies there. Since 2002 I have been working in the field of asylum and immigration law.
Initially, I was employed as a legal advisor in the counselling service for refugees and migrants of Caritas Styria and as legal advisor for persons in detention pending deportation in Graz and Leoben. From 2011 I gained further experience in these fields of law in two law firms in Graz before I became part of Sarah’s team in June 2020.
I have found my professional focus in asylum and immigration law, which even after years still raises new and interesting questions. I would be happy to help you solve any related questions and I am looking forward to welcoming you at our office!
